Since the backup vocals of In the Ghetto are present on the basic, unrepaired vocal version on the draft, rough mix tape, it is assumed that backup vocals were recorded before the vocal replacement. On the other hand, the instrumental leakage of the vocal replacement channel only on '30#1 Hits' SE/DVD-A does not reveal any backup vocals. However, the tracks played back in the headphones during this vocal overdub could easily have been mixed without the backup vocal channel. |
